Rooftop restaurants offer spectacular dining experiences, but changing weather conditions often limit their usability throughout the year. Located amidst the scenic hills of Lonavala, this rooftop dining space enjoys panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. However, seasonal rainfall, intense summer sunlight, and changing weather conditions required a roofing solution that could provide protection without taking away the open air experience. A motorised PVDF fabric retractable roof provided the ideal balance between comfort, flexibility, and architectural elegance.
Luxury Rooftop Dining with Uninterrupted Views
Lonavala receives approximately 4,000–4,500 mm of annual rainfall, making it one of Maharashtra’s wettest hill stations. During the monsoon season, rooftop hospitality spaces become difficult to operate without effective weather protection. At the same time, permanently covering the terrace would diminish the open air atmosphere and scenic surroundings that guests visit to enjoy. A motorised PVDF fabric retractable roof provides the flexibility to keep the space open during pleasant weather while offering immediate protection whenever required.

The elegant folding fabric system blends seamlessly into the restaurant’s architecture while maintaining unobstructed views of the surrounding hills. Premium three layer PVDF fabric provides complete shade and weather protection, while the motorised operation allows effortless opening and closing at the touch of a button. Integrated drainage ensures efficient rainwater management, making the rooftop functional even during heavy rainfall. The result is a sophisticated outdoor dining environment that remains comfortable, visually appealing, and operational throughout the year.
